What advice do you have for potential students considering attending Penn State and EMS?
Participate in as many clubs, extracurricular activities, and activities abroad as you can. Much of what separates performance in the real world has little to do with the technical skills learned in the classroom but with the interpersonal skills developed at Penn State.
What one piece of advice would you like to give to students who are graduating?
The alumni network at Penn State is second to none (even my top 5 MBA network). Use it to your advantage and don’t be bashful reaching out — people love to help.
Why did you choose to attend Penn State?
The balance of top-tier engineering with big school activities. I am so glad I went there. I am already brainwashing my nine and six-year-old to attend!
Who was your favorite professor or the one who had the most significant impact on you, and why?
Dr. Ertekin. He taught me how to think strategically as an engineer.
What’s the best thing about being a Penn Stater?
Everywhere I go, I run into fellow Penn Starters who share the same passion for the school as me.
What is your favorite memory of your time at Penn State?
Watching Penn State beat Ohio State in the Shoe in 2008.
What’s your favorite weekend activity?
Hiking the trails in Colorado.
